What Are Google’s Plans for the Mobile Platform?

Given how much of the online world Google has gained - from it’s search engine to ad networks to web applications - it’s no surprise that they want to take over the Mobile space. Google is bidding billions for wireless spectrum [via Digital Media Update], and has software plans for mobile platforms (e.g., GPhone). Wherever they go, they’ll shake things up.
