FringME Widgets Lets Your Contact Connect with You via the Web

widgetexample1-copy.jpgFring is a free, downloadable client-based mobile VoIP (mVoIP) application that combines internet communications with mobile telephony. Fring lets users make free mVoIP call and chat with contacts using various IM providers, such as Skype, MSN, Messenger, ICQ, Google Talk, SIP and Twitter. And to make its users cut some amount of data plan costs, Fring lets you connect through the web via Wi-Fi.

To boost its members’ online presence, Fring has introduced FringME widgets. If you are a FringME member, you can copy an HTML code from your FringME profile and paste it anywhere on the web. Through this widget, your contacts would know you whereabouts even if you are not online. And through this widget, your contacts, whether Fringster or not can connect with you through your mobile phone.

The FringME widget’s code can installed on any website whether it’s a social networking, blogs, auction sites, and other sites which allows you to manipulate your profile code.

To be able to run the FringME widget on your mobile phone, you need to install the latest Symbian 9.1 or 9.2 into your handset. This means that FringME widgets would only work with mobile phone that runs on Symbian Operating Systems.

Now, here’s an added feature of the FringME widget, if you are using a mobile phone with GPS capability, you can view your location in real time via Google Maps. Your location must be covered by the Google Map’s coverage.

The FringMe widget can be downloaded from the FringME website and you just need to copy the HMTL code and paste it anywhere you like on the web.

FringME widget is a good example of how a strong mobileVoIP is emerging out of nothingness. Sooner than we could all think, the mobile VoIP may have already taken the place of the traditional PC-to-Mobile VoIP communication.
