Cygnus, an electronic ticketing and mobile commerce group, and ShopText, text-based mobile commerce and marketing solutions provider, have partnered to push a mobile ticketing service on ShopText.
The partnership will allow customers to buy tickets and merchandise with the use of a text-enabled mobile phone. Customers can now send ticket or product keyword through text messages.
The ticketing service requires no software to download before you can do mobile ticket reservation. Also, the service works across major wireless carrier, With the use of Cynugs technology, ShopText customers will now have access to various ticketing applications including general admission venues.
Steve Brown, president and chief executive office of Cygnus said that the new service would let consumers have rapidly incorporating text messaging facility.
“By teaming up with ShopText, we’ve extended the reach of Cygnus’ technology to over 200 million cell phones in America.”
This mobile ticketing service would allow consumers to carry their mobile phone., making it a multifunction category. With the mobile ticketing service any venue can be used to do ticket reservations for upcoming concerts.
Steve Roberts, CEO of ShopText said that the addition of ShopText to Cygnus ticketing system would allow consumer to carry out mobile ticket reservation, merchandise sales and on-site promotions.
