Jangl uses local phone numbers to route calls and voicemails to customers’ mobile phones. For its users who use Jangl ins social networks such as Facebook, Jangl lets them use mp3 voicemail messages to personal email accounts and messaging centers with those social networks. Jangl’s new SMS functionality users can now use those same phone numbers they used in social networks to send text messages with their social contacts. Specifically Jangl users can now:

• use Jangl phone numbers for direct, phone-to-phone SMS messaging;
• initiate text messaging from either PC or a phone and delivered to either;

• have text messages sent directly to users’ mobile phones
• control at an individual contact level whose text messages are delivered where, directly to the phone, to the inbox or both;
• send and receive text messages over the web using the web interface on the inbox and contacts pages for customers outside of the U.S.

Jangl’s Contact Importer

The new Jangl contact importer allows it users to do the following:

• Enter their email address and password for a specific webmail account;
• See a list of all of their existing contacts;
• Click to select which contacts they’d like Jangl numbers for;
• Instantly get locals numbers on which to call or text, regardless of their location.

Under the said agreement, Synnex will be distributing Packet8 Virtual Office Hosted iPBX phone service to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs). This will be part of Synnex Technology-As-A-Service products.

Packet8 is hoping that with the said partnership, its Virtual Office will gain market visibility, Synnex and its reseller arm would provide a information awareness to its clients about the benefits of remote on-demand services such as VoIP. And hopefully this campaign would bring in more customers into the Packet8’s side.

The agreement give Synnex resellers tangible opportunity to expand their market with the inclusion of a hosted VoIP solution provided by Packet8.
